“The Battle of Ia Drang was the first major battle between regulars of the United States Army and regulars of the People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN / NVA) of North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. The two-part battle took place between November 14 and November 18, 1965, at two landing zones (LZs) northwest of Plei Me in the Central Highlands of South Vietnam (approximately 35 miles south-west of Pleiku) as part of the U.S. airmobile offensive codenamed Operation Silver Bayonet. The battle derives its name from the Drang River which runs through the valley northwest of Plei Me, in which the engagement took place. Ia means "river" in the local Montagnard language.

Representing the American forces were elements of the 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division: the 1st Battalion and 2nd Battalion of the 7th Cavalry Regiment, and the 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army, facing elements of the B3 Front of the PAVN (including the 304 Division) and Viet Cong. The battle involved close air support by U.S. aircraft and a strategic bombing strike by the B-52s. The initial Vietnamese assault against the landing 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry at LZ X-Ray was repulsed after two days and nights of heavy fighting on November 14-16. However, the follow-up surprise attack on November 17 that overran the marching column of 7th Cavalry 2nd Battalion near the LZ Albany was the deadliest ambush of a U.S. unit during the course of the entire war. About half of some 300 American deaths in the 35-day Operation Silver Bayonet happened in just this one fight that lasted 16 hours.”-Wiki

Not a normal book, as an after action report it is noy intended to be a story for sale. It is a good account of the after action of the fight in the Ia Drang valley. But a better book to read about this fight is We Were Soldiers Once -- And Young bu Joe Galloway and Col Hal Moore.

Sixties Britain explores the real sixties, providing a detailed discussion ranging across pop, politics, postmodernism, fashion, feminism, foreign policy and much else besides, to show why it was a decade of such dramatic change, but not for the reasons usually cited.

Steering away from the ideologically charged accounts of Britain during this time, Donnelly neither romanticises nor demonises this most controversial of decades. He revisits assumptions about the decade and presents a more nuanced and engaging history of Britain in the sixties.

Sixties Britain brings together discussion of culture, society and politics, and concludes that the sixties left four main developments of lasting consequence:

This book was inspired by the author’s discovery of an extraordinary cache of letters from a soldier who was killed on the Western Front during the First World War. The soldier was his grandfather, and the letters had been tucked away, unread and unmentioned for many decades. Intrigued by the heartbreak and history of these family letters, Fletcher sought out the correspondence of other British soldiers who had volunteered for the fight against Germany. This resulting volume offers a vivid account of the physical and emotional experiences of seventeen British soldiers whose letters survive. Drawn from different regiments, social backgrounds, and areas of England and Scotland, they include twelve officers and five ordinary “Tommies.”�The book explores the training, journey to France, fear, shellshock, and life in the trenches as well as the leisure, love, and home leave the soldiers dreamed of. Fletcher discusses the psychological responses of 17- and 18-year-old men facing appalling realities and considers the particular pressures on those who survived their fallen comrades. While acknowledging the horror and futility the soldiers of the Great War experienced, the author shows another side to the story, focusing new attention on the loyal comradeship, robust humor, and strong morale that uplifted the men at the Front and created a powerful bond among them.

In 'Blood Types, Body Types And You', there's a long introduction about... teaching you how to follow the author's dietary guidelines and motivating you along the way? This is coming from a guy who says that if we don't have three bowel movements a day, we're not healthy. In the middle of the book, there is a tiny section on which foods each blood type should eat and which to avoid, and a paragraph of writing dedicated to each type. Nothing in-depth about each blood type at all.

Outside of that, there are a ton of recipes. Without the recipes and motivation, content which you can find for free online, the book would be a few pages long. And thanks to Dr. Adamo, you can find which foods are compatible for which blood type on his online database - that is free.

I picked this up to learn something new related to blood types. In the end, it was a waste of time and money.

Very good reading and reading puts me to sleep because i dislike staring at words but these word are worth staring

I've seen this book months ago but didn't purchase. I thought to myself another false losing weight book to add to my collection. This book allowed me to read the free sample and also i was watching a new sow call "Life with Creflo" senior pastor/founder of world changers church intl. I just received it and i am on chapter two. This is what I am preparing to do on 9/1/2015 I will start this body transformation. I am really all over this book. Jumping chapters looking at the recipes and strength training, so I I recommend you buy your blood type only if that's what you're looking for but i ended up with the main book (mothership) and bought my blood type too. I will get back to this review after my 28 day jump start. If you don't want to do a lot of reading stick with just your blood type but if you want the original structure buy the( mothership) bloodtype bodytype so I recommend both.

I am not looking for easy but also at the same time it's needs to ...

I thought the whole process would be a little more simple. There are just as many restrictions, as with another type of diet. And for the recipes there are ingredients I have never heard of much less know where to get them. I am not looking for easy but also at the same time it's needs to be a attainable goal. Its is just not what I thought it to be. I work long hours not have a lot of time for exercise and just don't see a way to use this as a helpful tool to help me loose any weight and at the same time maintaining a healthy life style.

About the Author
Sean P. Melvin is an associate professor of business law at Elizabethtown College (Pennsylvania), where he served as department chair for eight years, won the Delta Mu Delta Outstanding Teacher of the Year award, and received several Faculty Merit awards for teaching and scholarship. Prior to his appointment at Elizabethtown, he was an assistant professor of business at a large state university where he taught in both the undergraduate and MBA programs. Before his academic career, Professor Melvin was a corporate lawyer in a large Philadelphia-based law firm and went on to become vice president and general counsel at a publicly traded technology company. Professor Melvin is the author or co-author of eight books (including five textbooks), has contributed scholarly and professional articles and case studies to over two dozen publications, and is a member of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business (ALSB). His article “Case Study of a Coffee War” was selected as Best International Case Study at the 86th annual ALSB conference.

I am currently a student online in a Law class and this was the needed book. I was not sure at the time I purchased if I wsa going to keep this book or resale it. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed the book and will keep for future reference. Anyone that is in school, working in business, this is a great tool to have. It is easy to read and understand. This book has made learning business law easy.

It was a good book, Worked perfect for the class, and i liked the digital format.
My only complant is that with the amazon reader you can only see one page at a time.
WORK ON THIS AMAZON!
It is a text book, not a math or science one, it has heavy reading, and not a single picture i cared about.
I for one, would rather use my kindle to read this rather than a monitor. - Kindle fires don't count!
